Cleaning Questions

How do I clean my pans?

Pans can be hand-washed or cleaned in the dishwasher once cooled. Melamine sponges can be used to help remove stubborn spots and stains from the interior and exterior surfaces.

CLEANING & CARE

Allow cookware to cool completely before washing. Never immerse a hot pan in cold water, as this may lead to irreparable warping. Always clean cookware thoroughly after use, as grease buildup over time can lead to food sticking. If you notice grease or discoloring on the stainless steel handles or stainless steel induction base, clean thoroughly with baking soda and white vinegar, then wipe with a sponge or soft cloth.

DISHWASHER

Use automatic dishwashing detergent without bleach or citrus additives. Prolonged, regular dishwashing may eventually mark or discolor your cookware. If regularly washed in the dishwasher, some darkening of the exterior of the base may occur—this is normal and will not affect cooking performance.

HAND-WASHING

Use mild liquid dish soap. Abrasive pads and sponges should only be used if they are approved for use on nonstick cookware.  DO NOT use abrasive cleansers or cleaning pads not rated for nonstick cookware, as they can damage cookware.

How can I safely remove sticky and/or burnt on debris from my pan?

Wait until your pan cools and soak it in warm water, then use a non-abrasive

sponge or towel to remove any debris. Melamine sponges are great for removing stuck on food or stubborn spots.

How can I clean my stainless steel handles or induction base?

If you notice grease or discoloring on the stainless steel handles or stainless steel induction base, clean thoroughly with baking soda and white vinegar, then wipe with a sponge or soft cloth.

Cooking and Pan Preparation Questions

Yes, all Ninja NeverStick™ Ceramic Pro™ cookware is oven safe up to 660°F. Easily go from stovetop to oven to finish cooking meats, brown toppings, or bake. Do not leave lids in oven for longer than 30 minutes at temperatures above 400°F or use under the broiler.

Is it safe to use my pan under a broiler?

Yes, Ninja NeverStick™ Ceramic Pro™ cookware is oven and broiler safe up to 660°F. Easily go from stovetop to oven to finish cooking meats, brown toppings, or bake. If using under the broiler, make sure that there is space between the pan and the top of the oven. Do not use lids under the broiler.

What type of cooking surface will my pan work on?

Your Ninja NeverStick™ Ceramic Pro™ cookware is all range capable: gas, electric, glass ceramic, and induction.

Is it safe to deep-fry and flambe in my pan?

Yes.

Can I use cooking spray in my pans?

Never use aerosol cooking sprays. These burn at low temperatures and will leave a residue that leads to sticking.

Should I pre-heat my cookware and when do I know that it's ready for cooking?

We recommend pre-heating your pan for 1-2 minutes at the same temperature that you intend to use when cooking. DO NOT use a hotter temperature to heat your pan than intended for cooking.

To determine if your pan is ready for use, simply add a few drops of water. If you hear a sizzle, the pan is ready for use. If not, continue pre- heating.

What temperature should I use when cooking?
  • Use high heat for boiling liquids and searing. Never leave an empty pan on high for more than 2 or 3 minutes as this can damage the pan and lead to sticking.
  • Use medium-high heat for sautéing, frying, and stir-frying.
  • Use medium heat for reducing liquids and making pancakes, sandwiches, and omelets.
  • Use low heat to warm foods, simmer ingredients, or prepare delicate
  • sauces.
What types of utensils can I use in my pans?

All utensils are safe for use including metal. Metal utensils including spatulas, spoons, whisks, and tongs are safe for use with your Ninja NeverStick™ Ceramic Pro™ cookware. Minor surface scratches will not impact nonstick performance.  Never use sharp appliances such as electric mixers to cut, chop, or whip foods in any nonstick pan.

What types of oils are safe to use?

All cooking oils are safe to use, except aerosol cooking sprays. These burn at low temperatures and will leave a residue that leads to sticking. When cooking with high heat, use high smoke point oils such as canola or vegetable oil to avoid the oils smoking.

Why does food sometimes stick to my pans?

Overheating your pans can lead to food burning and sticking. Oil or butter can be used to enhance flavors and help release foods that are more prone to sticking.

Do I need to season my pans?

No, the coating does not need to be seasoned.

Storing and General Questions

What is the best way to store my pans?

We recommend storing your pans in a single layer if possible. If you need to stack your pans, place a sheet of paper towel or pan protector in-between each pan to reduce the chances of coating damage.

Why are the outsides of my pans discolored?

If cooking on a gas range, do not allow the flame to rise along the outside of the pan, as this may lead to discoloration.

Do the handles get hot?

Our long handles on the frying pan and sauté pan are designed to be comfortable to hold and designed to stay cool when used on the stovetop. However, high cooking temperatures and longer cooking times can lead to the handles and lids getting hot and all handles will be hot when used in the oven. Use caution when cooking on the stovetop, and always use a potholder or oven mitt to prevent burns when removing from the oven.
